Day 104 - Hit Port 5 early, had a meeting with the captain...left with the impression that we may be on the next boat to Cartagena. He would confirm in the next 24hrs. The police stopped us on the street again, stressing the dangers...the cop rang his girlfriend, she offered to drive us about the ports and act as the Thumbs translator, after 4 hrs she mentioned we were paying for her time, her slightly deceitful behaviour made us part company. Walking back and forth down the same streets, the folk are warming to us, the Thumb is encountering nothing but soundness and friendly peeps , 1 out of 10 cats however go to great lengths to try to put the frighteners in us . Some folk do love a bit of drama, I'm getting bored of the needless horror stories. Perhaps it's these scare monger's that need to be avoided opposed to the dangers they seem so keen to pedal.
