Monday...the clocks jumped forward 3 hours during the night. As the eyes opened, the clock said 2pm...I couldn't of slept 10 straight hours! Missing Lunch is something that could ruin the day! Poking the head out of the cabin door the nose caught a waft of warm savoury air coming up the stairs. I looked back at the clock - 2pm. One headed down to the canteen just to put a lid on this doubt... Thank the heavens above! Lunch is usually at 12pm, it had been pushed forward to 3pm to compensate for the time shift. All was close to the wire there...a happy Thumb sat down to his Meatloaf.
The Thumb is to put together a news report for a certain Broadcast Corporation back in Blighty. 'Life Aboard a Container ship' etc. This is why I needed said Fire-wire. It's back to basics without it, drawing the scenes out in tandem with the script, walking round Arthur sussing what is and is not a viable shooting location. As did the day go. Now I'm totally accustomed with Arthur and it's crew, I can practice being more persuasive with the camera...the crew are being bossed about left, right and centre and being very patient in the process.Thank you!
Arthur ever sturdy, forged on off the West coast of Alaska, patches of fog and grey skies surround.
The Aleution Islands behind.
