Day 99 - Tried again to fix the MacBook...nice to find out it's only the screens back light that's gone, everything else is fine...however Apple can't fix it! so the whole screen has to be replaced at a cost of $1000 and the process will take 3 weeks again. Apple!
The bank still hasn't sorted out its problem...we are penniless in Panama. Told the Hostel we would be heading out today because I thought we were, they gave our beds away. A new hostel was found...another day in Panama it was. Took a mammoth stroll away from the sky scrapers, Mc Donald's and Subway tat that surrounds us, and headed for the old town. Watched Argentina squeak through en route. This old town is lovely, went to dip the toes for the first time in the ocean only for a massive gun dressed in bullet proof gear with a mouth and I presume eyes hidden behind sunglasses, to aggressively siren his whistle and shoo us back the way we came, it became quickly apparent this old town was heavily fortified, heavily armed clones stood on every corner, dirt bikes carrying guns and men whizzing frantically about the place. I couldn't fathom why. Bar all that nonsense it was lovely.
